Atypical Depression

Atypical depression is difficult to treat form of depression. The most striking symptoms of this disease are sudden and drastic change in body weight of the patient (both upwards and downwards), excessive sleepiness and anxiety. There may be additional symptoms, but only one or two or more. While during normal depression patient is observed from five to ten symptoms. It is the specificity of the disease.
Atypical depression occurs in adults who are already ill with the classical form of depression before. Thus, it can be safely called recurrent disease.
